Meeting Point for Professionals
Join the industry and the leaders of alternative energy market at REF-2011, 3rd International Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Forum and learn all about alternative energy and fuel industry of Ukraine - the new promising market to invest in and to develop your renewable energy projects.
- “Green field”: How stable is an attractive legislative foundation of the Ukrainian market of renewable energy? Having one of the highest rates of feed-in-tariff in the world, is Ukraine protected from Czech or Italian scenario of renewable energy market stimulation?
- 6% vs 30% in energy balance in 2030. What are the real goals of the Ukrainian government in renewable energy sphere? How does the renewable energy projects road map (announced by the state agency) of Ukraine look like?
- 100 reasons to invest in renewables in CIS. Lessons of special financing programs and new opportunities of investment attraction in renewable energy projects in Ukraine and neighboring markets.
- Practical focus sessions on solar, wind and small hydro manufacturing: How can you best set up a plant? What challenges will you face in Ukraine? How to solve land, equipment selection, grid connection and other impotent questions
- Case studies of industrial scale renewable energy plants and energy efficiency projects under development.
- Energy Efficiency in the industry and municipality: the best projects and technologies which solve the economy in the high gas prices conditions
- Regional outlook: What are the opportunities for large scale renewable energy projects development in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belorussia, Moldova, Azerbaidzhan and other Commonwealth of Independent States markets? Can Ukraine serve as a hub to these?
A key event of this autumn in Ukraine, REF-2011 is a meeting of professionals, whose activities are connected to the Ukrainian market of alternative energy. The Forum creates a business platform for exchange of experience, communication, presenting investment projects and for finding the investors in the field of solar and wind energy, as well as in the heat pumps and small hydropower businesses.
The main features of the Forum REF-2011 are:
- Only the business and the practical orientation of the Forum in each of key segments: solar energy, wind energy, small hydropower;
- An integrated program that allows participants to spend efficiently the time at the Forum;
- Investment session allowing participants to discuss the opportunities and possible alternatives to attract financing, except for those few who are well-known, but not suitable for all;
- Matchmaking: You do not need to guess how and with whom to meet. We prepare in advance your individual program of meetings and negotiations.
GOALS
AND OBJECTIVES OF REF-2011:
- to ensure information and communication security for participants of
Renewable Energy market of Ukraine;
- to attract the investments into renewable energy in Ukraine;
- to improve the industrial legislation;
- to create the momentum for renewable energy development in Ukraine.
We invite into the REF-2011:
• Owners and top managers of companies, who are

Ukraine today is ...
- a big, but still
"empty" market, where everything is just begins. According to the new
government plans, the goal of Ukraine is to reach 30% of the renewable energy
in total energy mix by 2030,
- a country with a large number of small rivers and
excellent natural conditions for construction of small hydropower plants with a
good wind potential, with solar radiation, which is higher on average
throughout than in Germany,
- a country with an active mechanism for green tariff: as
of December 2010 it received 42 hydropower facilities, 2 properties in the use
of biomass as an energy source, 1 - biogas, 5 wind farms, three solar power
stations,
- A country, where the green tariff is one of the highest
in the world and guaranteed by the state until 2020, and the legal framework is
sufficiently developed,
- a state with rising prices for natural gas: in 2010,
home prices rose by 50%, and during 2011, according to the plans of the
authorities, it should increase by 50%. Thereunder, the popularity of
alternative energy sources rises, especially because ...
- Ukraine
is a country, where the payback period of renewable energy projects on average
doesn’t exceed 5 years.
