Matchmaking during the Forum   

This is a unique opportunity to organize a meeting with representatives of the company from participating at the forum, following a preliminary acquaintance with the company. The advantage of the concept of the matchmaking is prearranged schedule.

The Forum held a discussion panel: "The management in the field of Renewable Energy: Best Practices for Ukraine". As part of this presentation will be held subsession of government programs that promote the development of renewable energy in the States, the leader in the development of a segment of alternative fuels and energy. The State Agency for Investment and Development were in favor of 2-th Ukrainian Forum on Renewable Energy

14-15 October 2010 in Kiev, the Ukrainian House on 2 nd Ukrainian Forum on Renewable Energy, which focuses on emerging technologies in the production and use of renewable fuels and energy.
The State Agency for Investment and Development supported the 2-nd Ukrainian forum on renewable energy. The event will promote the study of international best practices, implementation at Ukrainian enterprises of the latest efficient technologies and strengthen the economy of Ukraine.
During the Forum the 5-th International Conference "Alternative Fuel - 2010", which is a major business event of the year in the field of alternative motor fuels.
Forum participants - leading Ukrainian and European manufacturers of specialized equipment, banks and investment companies, government agencies and research centers.
The focus of the Forum solar and wind energy, small hydropower, bio-energy and energy efficiency technologies in industrial and municipal sector. One of the most important issues of the Forum is the question of attracting investment in renewable energy.

Support of the II Ukrainian Renewable energy Forum

Ministry of Economy of Ukraine supported the second Ukrainian Renewable Energy Forum. In the subordinate structures of the Ministry were sent recommendations to visit the event. The Forum represents another step in the transition from planning to action towards the development of alternative energy sphere of Ukraine, speaking of the first large-scale business platform, providing opportunities to start, maintain and implement projects.

The director of the Azov Oil Company Cherednikov Andrey will speak at the conference "Place of the mini-refinery projects in the production of alternative fuels”, October 15, 2010.
Ltd. Azov Oil Company was founded in December 1999 with a view to implementing the investment project "Construction and operation of a refinery in the city of Mariupol", which was successfully implemented the first phase of construction and put into operation 17.08.2005
The main activity of the company: Processing of oil and gas condensate production of petroleum products, wholesale petroleum products.
The processing capacity is 370 thousand tons of oil and gas condensate per year.
As reported, V International Conference "Alternative fuel" will be held in the Second Ukrainian Forum on Renewable Energy, October 15, 2010 in Kiev. The theme of the conference will be the year - New motor fuels innovation and clean technologies in the automobile industry.

 

President of the European Small Hydropower Association will speak at the II Ukrainian Forum for Renewable Energy, which will be held October 14-15 in Kiev, Ukrainian House.

President of the European Small Hydropower Association Marco Gospodzhinaski speaks during the second day of the Forum, in the Section dedicated to hydropower, with the report "Role of small hydropower plants in hydropower.”
European Association of SHP is an organization that lobbies for small hydropower in Europe and worldwide. ESHA was established in 1989 and is a founding member of EREC (European Council for Renewable Energy).
ESHA wants to use the interaction on the European, national and local level for development of small hydropower. ESHA helps to create a platform for stakeholders in the SHP and represent their interests at European level. ESHA is structured as a federation of national associations of the EU hydropower and is open to participants from all sectors related to small hydropower, ie, equipment manufacturers, utilities, independent producers, research institutions, investors, industry and consultants. Thanks to the diversity of its members, ESHA best information about current research and market trends in the field of small hydropower.

 

NAER become influential structure

In an interview with Fuel Alternative new head of the National Agency for efficient use of energy Nikolay Pashkevich told that:

- Ukrainian Government is aware that without the development of renewable energy there no future for the country;
- NAER prepared a draft concept for the development of renewable energy, which provides 30% of renewable energy in the country's energy by 2030;
- The size of the department budget for the 2010 is record, and plans to implement a number of programs;
- According to the draft concept of the development agency, NAER will play first role in the renewable energy sector of Ukraine;

- There should not rely on state guarantees for projects in the field of renewable energy;
- The first "green" tariff in the field of solar energy in Ukraine will be received in October Crimean solar power plant.

NERC issued the first license to produce power from solar energy

National Electricity Regulatory Commission has issued companies « Crimea Solar 1» and «Crimea Solar 2» (Crimea) license to produce electricity from solar energy.
The decision adopted at the committee meeting. Licenses issued for a period of 10 years.
According to the representative companies are registered in 2009.
In 2010 the company arranged the lease of land available in February for 49 years to build solar power stations.
Ltd «Crimea Solar 1» leases area of 2 hectares, and «Crimea Solar 2»- 3 hectares in the village Rodnykove (Simferopol district, Crimea).
Now «Crimea Solar 1» has a solar power plant with 1 MW peak power, and «Crimea Solar 2»- 1.5 MW.
Сompanies representative said the total peak power stations planned to bring up to 8 MW. "By the end of November at the site, I think it will be 8 MW" - he predicted.
The representative said that the cost of the 1 kW power station was installed approximately 2.7 thousand euro.
In future the company intends to apply to NERC asking them to set tariffs for electricity from alternative sources (“green” tariff).
These are the first company that approached NERC to obtain licenses for production of electricity from solar energy.
According to the agency, NERC has kept rates in September produced from alternative energy sources (“green” tariff) - 84,18-134,46 cop. KWh (without VAT).

Major events and trends in 1st half of 2011

The main events of Ukrainian sector of renewable energy in the I half of 2011 were:

-Start of production and sales in retail stations biofuels "Inovativ E95" (in the II half of 2011, "Azov Oil Company" is planning to produce more than 5 tonnes of biofuels);

-The Austrian company Activ Solar has completed construction and began commissioning solar power station "Omao Solar" (20mW) in the village Okhotnikov (Saki Region, Crimea);

- In Kiev, completed construction of the largest in Ukraine boiler for pellets from agricultural waste (the initiator and the operator of the project - the Centre of Renewable Energy Fuel Alternative);

-Implementing the first phase of a wind farm project "Novoazovsk" 25 MW in village Bezimyannoe (Donetsk reg.) Total plant capacity will be 107, 5 MW;

-In May-June crisis began in the producer segment of solid biofuels from wood, which was caused by the soaring deficit and cost of raw materials, as well as changes in taxation terms. On August 1, 2011, about 80% of solid biofuel producers were out of business. Also on the market of solid biofuels is observed globalization - the consolidation of raw material resources in the hands of large producers;

-The decision to join the Association of Ukrainian APEU alternative solid fuels.

To accelerate the development of alternative energy in Ukraine, the solution of problematic issues real estate development projects in Ukraine and APEU Renewable Energy Center Fuel Alternative, supported by international professional associations are preparing the 3rd International Renewable Energy Forum REF-2011 (17-18 October 2011, Kiev, Hotel InterContinental).

September 28-30, 2011 (the Admiral Club, Irpen) with the support of APEU will be the 4th branch seminar on "Building an effective production and marketing of briquettes and pellets.
